She wants to look and feel like a cover girl of a magazine. This is all a normal part of growing , just as driving, dating, and graduating from high school.
Being a mother of a teen, when my daughter, Stephanie ,began asking to wear make-up in the third grade, I let her ease into it. She began with some lip gloss. In forth grade, she added blush, and a light lip color. In fifth grade, she added some light eye color that would compliment her beautiful green eyes. In seventh grade, I went ahead and let her be more daring with mineral foundation, a light eye liner, and mascara. She wore it pretty and wore it nice. She was responsible with cleansing her face and taking care of her skin. But, more than that she kept the phrase, less is more...
The main thing a mother can teach to this exploring teen , is that it is important to remember to let her kind heart and awesome personality shine through. For a warm smile will bring out a true radiance that one cannot put on or buy.
